New Pleasant Parenting Weekend

) to wrap up our Parenting Weekend. We are thankful for all who contributed to and participated in our first Parenting Weekend and look forward to doing this again next year!

New Pleasant Parenting Weekend
August 14th-16th
Join us at New Pleasant for our first parenting weekend! At New Pleasant, we love parents and want to be a place that helps resource them as they take on the difficult and awesome task of raising children. This weekend will focus on helping parents raise kids in a Christian environment. Friday night and Sunday morning we will have Gerry and Kim Horton sharing with us. They have decades of experience in kids and youth ministry and raising 3 kids of their own. On Saturday morning, join us for breakout sessions on more specific topics. Register on the New Pleasant website. It’s going to be a great weekend!

AWANA Meeting & Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers for AWANA. Games needs 2 people. Puggles (2yr olds) needs 1 person. Cubbies (3-4 yr olds) needs a teacher and assistant that will teach every other week or every other month. Sparks (K-2nd) needs an assistant. If you are willing to help, please see Casey or Michael.

Women’s Bible Study, Sermon Based Bible Study for everyone and Missions & Music for NP Kids will resume. Parents, if you would like your child to participate in the Christmas Play, please have them attend.

Members Meeting
We will have a Members Meeting next Sunday, August 23rd after Worship, following a 5-minute intermission. This will be a vote-only meeting on the men recommended to serve as deacons (Ryne Hammett, John Hayes, and Jacob Teal), as lay elders (Michael Fowler), and on the Building Maintenance and Updates Project, Version 3 (pick up your revised copy today).

Children Church Workers Needed
We plan to begin splitting the age groups (potty-trained - 1st grade and 2nd - 5th grade) so we are in need of a few more volunteers for the rotation. If you are interested in being on the rotation for one of these age groups, please see Michael Fowler.
